My Mom told me to bring a pillow.
I told her I wouldn't use it, I'd be too scared.
She said I'd be fine and that every journey begins with a few steps.
I told her I only had two feet.
She laughed like I was joking.
I hugged her like I'd never see her again.
The airstrip looked like it didn't want me standing on it; I felt like all the planes were watching me.
Boarding the plane, it seemed like it was just as unsure as I was; it seemed like it wasn't ready to leave either.
The flight attendant helped me find my seat amongst a crowd of people who looked like they were all going somewhere.
I looked out my tiny window at the other planes across the way and wondered if anyone was looking back at me.
I put my head on the pillow and went somewhere.
This was good...
